Taking Photos on Android 13

This section describes how to use the photo feature on the Camera app.
See Photo Settings for setting descriptions.
  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the Home screen and touch
    Camera
    Camera App Icon . Photo mode is the standard mode that displays.

  2. To switch between the rear camera and front camera (if available), touch .
  3. Frame the subject on the screen.
  4. Touch an area on the screen to focus. The yellow focus box displays and places that area into focus. Alternatively,
    AutoFocus Animation
    can be enabled in
    Settings
    , and the yellow focus box automatically appears when in focus.
  5. To turn the Flash on, touch Image of the Flash icon. , which can also be accessed via the Quick Settings Menu.
  6. Touch and hold an area with two fingers, then spread them apart to zoom in or pinch them together to zoom out.
  7. Touch to take a photo. A shutter sound emits.
    The photo momentarily displays as a thumbnail in the lower-left corner.
