Preparing Flash Drive and Updating Firmware

On your USB Flash Drive, create the following:

a folder called

Zebra

and in that folder, create three sub-folders:

appl

commands

files

In the

/appl

folder, place a copy of the latest firmware for your printer.

Load the printer with media. See Roll Media Sensing and Media Loading.

Insert the USB Flash drive into the USB host port on your printer.

Observe the user interface and wait.

If the firmware version on the USB Flash drive is different than the version installed on the printer, the firmware downloads to the printer. The Data indicator (

) flashes Green while the firmware is downloading. The printer restarts with all indicators flashing. When the firmware update is complete, the Status indicator displays solid Green. The firmware is validated and installed. A printer Configuration Report automatically prints and the firmware update completes.

Remove the USB Flash drive from the printer.
