Creating a Device User

A Device User is an account that is used by an operator to login into a mobile device manually by entering a unique PIN code on the device, or scanning the PIN code from a barcode on an ID badge. The Device User does not have access to the ZAMS Portal, but can only use the unique PIN Code to login into a mobile device.

 screen, see Creating a User Account.
The
Device Login
 account is used to identify the user who has a specific device that is in use and the account is displayed on the ZAMS Cabinet and ZAMS Portal.
  1. From the
    Create or edit a user
     screen, select the
    ROLE_DEVICE_USER
     in the
    Security Roles
     drop-down menus (1).
    Create or edit a Device User
  2. Complete the
    First name
     (2),
    Last name
     (3), and
    Device Login
     (4) fields.
  3. Assign the User to a specific
    Site
    or create a
    Global
     user from the
    Site Id / Name
     (5) drop-down menus.
  4. Enter a unique
    PIN Code
     (6).
  5. Check the
    Activated
     (7) box.
  6. Select
    Language
     (8) from the drop-down menus.
  7. Click
    Save
     (9).
A Device User is created and this user can now login to a device.
