Follow proper electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions to avoid damaging the SIM card. Proper ESD precautions include, but not limited to, working on an ESD mat and ensuring that the user is properly grounded.
Lift the access door.

Slide the SIM card holder to the unlock position.
Lift the SIM card holder door.
Place the nano SIM card into the card holder with contacts facing down.
Close the SIM card holder door and slide to the lock position.
Replace the access door.
Press the access door down and ensure that it is properly seated.
Access door must be replaced and securely seated to ensure proper device sealing.
