Select the default Bluetooth Friendly Name.
The scanner must be in SSI mode.
  • Select
    RS6100
     for pairing with a host device that supports the scanner. The Friendly Name becomes
    RS6100
     <serial number>

  • Select
    RS6100
     and
    RS5100
     for pairing with an older host device that does not support the
    RS6100
    . The Friendly Name becomes
    RS6100
     <serial number> (
    RS5100
     compatible)
    .
After changing this parameter, reboot the device.
If the scanner is already paired to a host device in
RS6100
 mode that doesn't have
RS6100
 support, then after you change the parameter to
RS6100
 and
RS5100
 mode, reboot the host device, and pair it again.
