The printer’s firmware may need to be updated periodically to get new features, improvements, and printer upgrades. Use Zebra Setup Utilities (ZSU) to load new firmware.
Download the latest firmware for your printer from zebra.com/support.
Open the ZSU tab in Zebra Setup Utilities.
From the list of printers displayed, select the printer whose firmware you want to update.
Click
Open Printer Tools
.
The Tools window opens.
Click the
Action
tab.
Load media in the printer.
Click
Send file
.
The lower half of the window will show a path and a filename and a
Browse...
button.
Click
Browse
and select the latest firmware file you downloaded from the Zebra web site.
Observe the control panel and wait.
If the firmware version shown differs from the version installed on your printer, the firmware downloads to the printer. The data indicator flashes Green while the firmware is downloading. The printer restarts with all indicators flashing. The Status indicator displays solid Green as the firmware is validated and installed. A Printer Configuration report automatically prints. The firmware update is complete.
