Running the Printer Installation Wizard

Running the printer installation wizard will complete the printer setup.
The
Windows Printer Drive v8
has been pre-installed.
  1. Run the
    Windows Printer Driver v8
    previously used to preload the drivers. The driver executable file (such as zd86423827-certified.exe) was added to your Download folder.
    1. Follow the screens and answer the prompts. The drivers are ready to be preloaded after Finish is pressed.
  2. Review the checkbox settings before continuing.
    1. Verify that the checkbox for
      Run the printer installation wizard
      to Select and enable the wizard.
    2. Click
      Finish
      to close the window and run the wizard.
  3. The Printer Installation Wizard displays after the preloaded drivers are loaded or have finished loading (if this is the first time using the
    Windows Printer Driver v8
    file).
  4. Click
    Next
    .
    You are prompted to select an installation option.
  5. Click
    Install Printer
    .
    The license agreement displays. Read the important information and agree to the terms by selecting the
    I Accept the Terms in the License Agreement
    button. Click
    Next
    .
  6. You are prompted to select the printer port.
    Complete the installation by following the instructions in the wizard.
    The model of the printer is located on the top front of the printer. You can use a Configuration Report (see Print a Configuration Report to Test Printing) to identify the model number, print resolution (203 dpi, 300 dpi, and 600 dpi), primary printer programming language (ZPL, EPL, CPCL), and the printer serial number.     Each port selection other than USB requires you to select, recognize, or use the information on the Configuration Report (see Print a Configuration Report to Test Printing).     Installing Network ports require IT assistance or knowledge of your network and networking principles and equipment.
    Bluetooth uses the printer’s serial number to identify the printer for pairing.

    The Parallel Port option is not available for this printer.
  7. The wizard automatically closes the window when the installation process has been completed.
