The Bluetooth Adapter and scanner support two modes of pairing.
Unlocked Pairing Mode
- In Point-to-Point mode only, pair a new scanner to an adapter at any time by scanning the pairing barcode. This unpairs the previously connected scanner from the adapter.
Locked Pairing Mode
- When an adapter is paired to a scanner (or up to seven scanners in Multipoint-to-Point mode), it rejects any attempt to connect a different scanner.
