Configuring a SIP Extension In Alcatel

The following example uses a PuTTY terminal to configure Alcatel OmciPCX.
  1. Using a serial or SSH session, connect to the Alcatel OmniPCX OXE as
    mgr
    .
  2. Select
    Users
    .
  3. Select
    Create
    .
  4. Enter the following information on the
    Create Users
     screen.
    • Directory Number
    • Directory name
    • Directory First Name
    • Set Type–Set the type to SIP Extension.
  5. Enter the
    Associated Set No
     (Associated Set Number).
  6. Enter the
    Hunt Group Dir No
     (Hunt Group Directory Number).
  7. Enter the
    Pickup Group Name
    .
  8. Enter the
    Voice Mail Dir.No.
     (Voicemail Directory Number).
  9. On your keyboard, press
    CTRL + V
     twice to save the configuration.
