Open an app that enables the barcode scanner on the device.
Position the barcode 8 to 20 cm (3 to 8 in.) below the scan window, and ensure that the barcode is within the area formed by the aiming pattern. The green dot increases visibility in bright lighting conditions.
The device beeps, and the light bar illuminates to indicate a successful decode.
