Connect to the printer with USB 2.0 cables.
Turn the print power off. Keep the printer power OFF until instructed to turn it ON by the printer installation wizard. You must pre-load the
Windows Printer Driver v8
driver set before the printer can be turned ON! The Windows system will detect and load the wrong printer driver otherwise.
To recover from incorrect driver installation, see Troubleshooting, USB Printer Fails to Install after Connecting Printer.
Run the
Windows Printer Driver v8
and select run the Printer Installation Wizard. 
USB (version 2.0 compliant) provides a fast interface that is compatible with your existing PC hardware. Multiple printers can share a single USB port/hub.
When using a USB cable, verify that the cable or cable packaging bears the Certified USB mark (see below) to guarantee USB 2.0 compliance.
