The following information is available from the LLRP Configuration window.
  • General Configuration
    • LLRP Status
      - Displays the current state of the LLRP server on the reader, indicating whether LLRP is running or not.
    • Operation Mode
      - Allows the user to choose the LLRP mode on the reader. The mode can be set to either “Server” or “Client”.
  • Configuration Options in "Server" Mode
    • Client IP
      - Displays the IP address of the currently connected LLRP client. If there is no LLRP client connection, this will be 0.0.0.0.
    • Server Port
      - Allows configuring the LLRP listening port on the reader. The default port is 5084.
    • Connect Status (Connect LLRP/Disconnect LLRP)
      - Indicates whether a client is connected. This button will be grayed out if there is no client connected. If an LLRP client is connected to the reader, the button will be enabled, allowing the user to disconnect the client by clicking it.
  • Configuration Options in "Client" Mode
    • Server IP
      - Allows configuring the IP address of the server to connect to.
    • Server Port
      - Allows configuring the LLRP host port to connect to. The default port is 5084.
    • Connect Status (Connect LLRP/Disconnect LLRP)
      - Indicates whether the reader is connected to the LLRP host. This button toggles between “Connect LLRP” and “Disconnect LLRP”. Clicking on “Connect LLRP” will initiate an LLRP connection to the host server.
  • Configuration Options in “Secure” Mode
    • Security Mode
      - Specifies whether LLRP is configured to communicate in secure or unsecured mode. The LLRP port will switch to 5085 by default if “Enable Secure Mode” is checked. The port value can be overridden by users.
    • Validate Peer
      - Specifies whether validation of the peer against a certificate issued by the same certification authority is required. If the user selects the option to validate the peer, the secure LLRP service on the reader will allow connections only for valid secure peer entities whose certificates are issued by the same certification authority as the reader’s certificate. By default, the reader comes with self-signed certificates, and the option to enable peer certificate-based validation is disabled by default.
