Load the Combined Hex File

Load the Combined Hex File

Now that the hex files are generated, the combined hex file can be downloaded onto the processor over ST-Link probe using the STM32 ST-Link Utility.
  1. Verify that the ST-Link probe is connected as described in Hardware Setup.
  2. Select
    Target
     >
    Connect
    .
    The probe gets connected to this utility. If the connection is not successful, you will see an error message.
  3. Select
    File/Open file
     and open the combined hex file to be programmed. Based on the example, it would be
    CAAFIP04-002-R00M0.hex
    .
  4. Select
    Target
     >
    Program/Verify
     and click
    Start
    . Wait for the software to download.
  5. Once the software is downloaded, select
    Target
     >
    Disconnect
     to disconnect from the utility.
