Version 15.0.1011 of the PC Client uses version 3.57 of the JavaScript Map API. In May, 2025, version 3.57 is replaced by version 3.61 of the JavaScript Map API. Version 16.0 of the PC Client uses the newer version of the JavaScript Map API. As a result of this change, the map opens in the user's default web browser instead of the PC Client.. Starting with PC client 16.0, the map will be launched in the user’s default web browser instead of being displayed within the PC client app. The map’s look and feel will remain largely unchanged, with only a few necessary adjustments due to the version update and the new communication mechanism between the Java app and the browser window.
You can choose the configuration of the WebSocket connection between the PC Client and the browser. A secure connection, using HTTPS, requires a self-signed certificate. A root certificate from certificate authority is not available because the PC Client runs on the local system. If you do not require a secure WebSocket connection, the PC Client will use HTTP for the connection.
