The following table lists pinouts for the Zebra Auto-Detecting DTE and DCE feature as it relates to the 9-Pin RS-232 Interface:

The maximum current available through the serial port, USB port, or both will not exceed a total of 0.75 Amps.
If you select
XON/XOFF
handshaking during printer driver setup, data flow will be controlled by ASCII control codes
DC1
(
XON
) and
DC3
(
XOFF
). The DTR control lead will have no effect.
The printer is configured as a Data Terminal Equipment (DTE) device. To connect the printer to other DTE devices such as the serial port of a personal computer, use an RS-232 null modem (crossover) cable and the pinouts shown below.
When connecting the printer through its RS-232 interface to any Data Communication Equipment (DCE) units such as a modem, use a standard RS-232 (straight-through) interface cable and the pinouts shown below.
