Detecting a Ribbon Out Condition

When you run out of printable ribbon, your printer will report a Ribbon Out condition with the
Status
and
Media
indicators. This is part of the normal media usage cycle.
The printer's
Status
indicator will turn solid red and the
Media
indicator will be flashing red when the printer detects the ribbon is out.
