Attaching Power

When applying power to the printer, carefully follow these instructions.
Never operate the printer and power supply in an area where they can get wet. Serious personal injury could result!
Set up your printer so that you can handle the power cord easily if needed.
During some setup or troubleshooting tasks, you may be instructed to switch printer power ON or OFF at specific stages in the process. Be sure to follow these instructions.
When you need to make certain that the printer is not carrying electrical current, be sure to unplug the power cord from the power supply receptacle and the the AC electrical outlet.
  1. Make sure the printer’s power switch is in the OFF position (down).
  2. Insert the AC power cord into the power supply.
  3. Plug the other end of the cord into an appropriate AC electrical outlet.
    If power is on at the AC outlet, the active power light on the power supply will light up.
  4. Insert the power supply’s power connector into the printer’s power receptacle.

    Ensure the appropriate power cord is used at all times. The power cords must bear the relevant certification mark of the country in which the product is being used.
