Default Settings Automatically Applied by Part Selection

When a valid Zebra part is selected, the application automatically transmits and configures the following settings on the printer:
  • Label size - width and length
  • Sensor and media type - mark, gap, or continuous
  • Media type - direct thermal or thermal transfer
  • Supported print speeds - out-of-bounds speeds are not selectable
  • Media format - Receipt (being relabeled Receipt / Linerless), Label / Tag, or Wristband
To ensure optimal print quality and prevent hardware damage, all automatically applied configurations are locked. Only the following fields remain user-editable after a valid part is applied:
  • Orientation
  • Media Handling
  • Darkness
  • Speed
