Using the Bracket (Accessory)

The bracket is an accessory (sold separately) that can secure the reader to the POS counter instead of the included adapter plate. The part number to order the bracket from zebra.com is BRKT-042040-01.
Bracket with mounting holes identified. See table for identification.

Attaches the bracket to the POS counter.

Attaches the reader to the bracket.
The following items are required for installation:
  • Four screws of correct type to attach the bracket to the POS counter (1).
  • Screwdrivers.
  • A drill, if necessary.
  • Pen/pencil.
  1. Remove the set screws from the FXP20.
    Set screws shown lifting out of reader.
  2. Use the bracket as a template and carefully mark the POS counter for the four screws (1).
  3. If necessary, drill four holes where you marked the POS counter.
  4. Mount the bracket onto the counter using four screws (not provided).
  5. Orient the device such that the set screw holes align with the mounting holes on the bracket (2) . Slide the reader into place.

  6. Secure the reader to the bracket using the two M2.5 screws provided.
  7. Connect the cables and power supply as described in Connecting the Cables and Power Supply.
