Adding a Serial Printer

The user can manually add a Serial Printer
  1. Click A printer icon on the toolbar.
  2. Select
    Printer
    Add.
    The Printer settings window with various fields.
    The Printer Settings window displays.
  3. Enter the Printer name.
  4. Enter the Printer Model.
  5. Select Serial from the
    Communication Type
    drop-down menu.
  6. Select the serial port to which the printer is connected on the
    Port
    drop-down menu.
    The user can view the printer's serial port settings by performing an AutoSense on the printer and reading the Dump Mode status labels serial configuration data. Refer to the printer's User Guide for details. Example:
    9600,N,8,1
    which matches the Port Settings in step 7a.
  7. Configure the Port Settings.
    1. Select
      Port Setting.

    2. Enter the configuration data of the serial port.
  8. Select
    OK.
The serial printer is added to the printer list.
