Depending on the configuration, you may be unable to change the settings.  If you do have the ability to configure settings,  they remain in place if the administrator has not set any configuration.
Right-clicking anywhere on the desktop home screen (or a long press if using a mobile computer) presents a home screen menu that allows:
  • Adding an application, website, file, or intent shortcut to the home screen for quick access.
  • Exporting all shortcuts.
  • Removing all shortcuts.
  • Sorting shortcuts by alphabetical order or by the date the shortcut was added.
  • Setting or modifying the wallpaper.
  • Configuring Display Settings.
  • Suspending and locking the device.
