Configuring the Wi-Fi Hotspot

Use Wi-Fi Hotspot to share the ET40/ET45 data connection with another computer.
  1. Go to
    Settings
    .
  2. Touch
    Networking & Internet
    .
  3. On A11, touch
    Advanced
    .
  4. Touch
    Hotspot & tethering
    .
  5. Touch
    Wi-Fi hotspot
    .
  6. In the
    Hotspot
     name text field, edit the name for the hotspot.
  7. Touch
    Security
     and select a security method from the drop-down list.
    • WPA3-Personal
      1. Touch
        Hotspot password
        .
      2. Enter a password.
      3. Touch
        OK
        .
    • WPA2/WPA3-Personal
      1. Touch
        Hotspot password
        .
      2. Enter a password.
      3. Touch
        OK
        .
    • WPA2-Personal
      1. Touch
        Hotspot password
        .
      2. Enter a password.
      3. Touch
        OK
        .
    • None
       - If
      None
       is selected in the Security option, a password is not required.
  8. On A11, touch
    Advanced
    .
  9. In the
    AP Band
     drop-down list, select
    2.4 GHz Band
     or
    5.0 GHz Band
     (A13 only).
  10. If desired, touch
    Turn off hotspot automatically
     to turn off Wi-Fi Hotspot when no devices are connected.
