A SIM card or eSIM is required to make calls and transfer data over a cellular network with the MC3450. The SIM card slot is located under the battery pack.
The device also offers Dual SIM/Dual Standby (DSDS), which allows users to use both an eSIM and SIM card and remain on standby at any time.
Follow proper electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions to avoid damaging the SIM card. Proper ESD precautions include but are not limited to, working on an ESD mat and ensuring the operator is properly grounded.
Remove the battery:
Push in the two battery release buttons.
The battery ejects slightly.
Remove the battery from the compartment.
Using a coin or finger, remove the access cover.
Slide the SIM cardholder to the right to unlock it.
Lift the SIM card holder door.
Place the SIM card into the cardholder with the contacts facing down.
