This guide provides recommendations for deploying tri-band capable Wi-Fi 6E devices that operate at 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz. It is specifically designed for WLAN networks that fully support tri-band functionality and enable Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, ensuring optimal performance between your devices and the WLAN.

Wi-Fi 6E is an extension of Wi-Fi 6 (also known as 802.11ax), enabling the use of features in the 6 GHz band, in addition to the existing 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. The 6 GHz frequency band provides additional spectrum to improve the efficiency and performance of Wi-Fi devices as their density grows.
The 6 GHz radio band provides greater capacity and better performance with higher data rates and lower delays for a better overall user experience. In addition to the existing features available under the Wi-Fi 6 standard, such as Uplink/Downlink MU-MIMO, OFDMA, and TWT, Wi-Fi 6E supports Multiple BSSID functionality, Reduced Neighbor Report, a greater number of channels, and wider Channel Widths.
The combined benefits of Wi-Fi 6E features, enabled by the 1200 MHz additional spectrum, boost application performance and quality in enterprise use cases as connected devices roam in the ever-dynamic Wi-Fi environment, such as Retail, Healthcare, Education, Manufacturing, and Warehousing.
