Security Recommendations While Deploying Zebra Clients in a 6 GHz Network

6 GHz does not allow open security and WPA2 security combinations. To provide more robust security, 6 GHz enforces the use of WPA3 Enterprise, WPA3 Personal, and Enhanced Open security combinations, but does not support backward compatibility for legacy clients. WPA3 Personal is mandatory to be supported by clients operating in a 6 GHz network, while Enhanced Open and WPA3 enterprise support are optional.

WPA3 default uses PMF (802.11w), and it is a mandatory requirement for both clients and APs, which helps to prevent deauthentication attacks. Zebra Clients supports all three security combinations: WPA3 Enterprise, WPA3 Personal, and Enhanced Open, which are described in more detail in this guide.
