Configuring a Ring Scanner Parameter in DataWedge
To configure the Interleaved 2 of 5 (I2OF5) settings for the
WS301
when paired with a Ring scanner, import the configured DataWedge Config file from any Android 14 device paired with Ring scanner to the
WS301
.
These configuration steps apply to all parameters or decoders requiring configuration in the
WS301
, not limited to the I2OF5 parameters settings. The same steps apply to the configuration of the Ring scanner parameters.
On the Android 14 device, open
Settings
Bluetooth Pairing Utility
.
Scan and pair with the Ring scanner.
Ensure the Ring scanner is connected to the Android 14 device.
Enable
I2OF5
and
Send ENTER key
in DataWedge:
Open
DataWedge
.
Select
Profile0
.
Select
Configure scanner settings
.
Select
Decoders
.
Select
Interleaved 2of5
.
Select the
Enabled
checkbox.
Touch
Back
until you get to the
Profile0
screen.
Select
Basic data formatting

On the Android 14 device, open
DataWedge

Export
.
Navigate to
Sdcard/Android/Data/com.symbol.datawedge/files/datawedge.db
and export the
datawedge.db
file to a local computer.
From the local computer, import
datawedge.db
file to the
WS301
at the location
/sdcard/Android/Data/com.symbol.datawedge/files/autoimport
.
In the
WS301
, open
DataWedge
, go to
Import Configuration
.
Pair with a Ring scanner.
Launch Chromium and scan a I2OF5 barcode.
The captured data displays in the text field.
