Printer Settings

Select
Printer Settings
to update settings such as media orientation, print speed, and darkness level for a selected printer.
Scroll to review and update all printer settings.
  1. Under
    Media
    tap an option from the
    Type
    drop-down menu:
    Options available vary depending on the printer used.
    • Continuous
      - Lengths of tag rolls.
    • Mark
      - Clear pre-cut shaped labels with marks on the backing paper.
    • Gap/Notch
      - Media includes a separation (notch) where one label / format ends and the next begins.
    • Auto Select
      - Allow the printer to select the media type.

  2. Under
    Media Handling
    select one of the following options:
    • Select
      Fit to Page
      to scale the document to accommodate the media size.
    • Select
      Variable Length
      to print different length documents. This option is only available when the
      Continuous
      media type is selected.
      Optionally change the
      Print Preview Length
      which specifies the length used in the print preview. Set a value just greater than your maximum length document to optimize the print preview. This does not affect printed output.

  3. Select a
    Rotation
    value to rotate the label before printing. The
    Preview
    updates to reflect the selection.

    The printed label may be incomplete if you set
    Rotation
    to 90 or 270 and select
    Fit to Page
    .
  4. Under
    Orientation
    , select
    Inverted
    to flip the image before printing.

  5. Under
    Media Size
    enter the
    Width
    and
    Length
    of the labels within the allowed range.

  6. Use the sliders to update the print
    Speed
    and
    Darkness
    levels. The
    Preview
    field reflects the
    Darkness
    level selected.

  7. Tap
    Print Test Page
    to print a test label using the currently selected printer settings. A dialog indicates settings that don't apply to the test page.

  8. Tap
    OK
    to dismiss the
    Print Test Page
    dialog.
  9. Tap
    Save
    to save the adjusted settings.
