Security Setup Wizard

Restoring the connectivity and management features typically disabled by EU RED parameters requires an update to the printer’s security features. The following procedure details the steps for these changes.
  • This procedure applies only to devices in the EMEA region.
  • This procedure requires a physical connection between the printer and the mobile device via a USB cable. For USB pairing instructions, go to USB Pairing.
  • Once you have restored your printer's connectivity and management features, a physical USB connection to your mobile device is no longer required. For future connections, you can pair via Print Touch (recommended) or Bluetooth on your mobile device. For more information, go to Print Touch or Bluetooth Pairing Through Your Mobile Device's Settings Menu, respectively.
  1. Verify that your mobile device is paired to the printer via a USB cable.
To confirm the connection, examine the Printer Dashboard; ensure Status reads Ready and Connection reads USB. If it does not, go to USB Pairing for pairing instructions.
