Replacing the Battery
Remove the battery compartment cover to access the rechargeable battery.
Battery replacement instructions apply only to the cordless
DS8288
model.
Use a T10 screwdriver to remove the screw.
Slide the battery compartment cover off.
Remove the battery from the compartment.
Replace the battery and compartment cover.
Slide the battery compartment cover into place.
Secure the battery compartment cover with a T10 screwdriver to approximately 1.13 N-m (10 lbf-in.).
