Configuring the Wi-Fi Hotspot

Use Wi-Fi Hotspot to share the device's data connection with another computer.
  1. Go to
    Settings
    .
  2. Touch
    Network & internet
    .
  3. Touch
    Hotspot & tethering
    .
  4. Touch
    Wi-Fi hotspot
    .
  5. Enable the
    Use Wi-Fi hotspot
     toggle switch to turn on Wi-Fi hotpsot.
  6. Touch
    Hotspot
     name, edit the name of the hotspot, and touch
    OK
    .
  7. Touch
    Security
     and select a security method from the list.
  8. Touch
    Select Hotspot timeout
     to the duration before the hotspot turns off when inactive.
  9. Touch
    Hotspot password
     to set a password.
  10. Enable the
    Turn off hotspot automatically
     toggle switch to turn off Wi-Fi hotpsot automatically when no devices are connected.
  11. Touch
    Extend compatibility
     to allow more devices to connect to the hotspot.
  12. Touch
    Speed & compatibility
    , and select a frequency
    2.4 GHz Band
    ,
    5.0 GHz Band
    , or
    6.0 GHz Band
     for your hotspot.
