Installing the ZIML onto an FS42

Installing the ZIML onto an FS42

Install the ZIML using the FS42-specific adapter bracket on the camera, then install the camera and adapter on the light using the screws supplied with the light.
Installation may require two people to hold the light while attaching it to the mounting bracket. Consider wearing gloves during the installation process to keep the lens clean.
Required equipment:
  • (4) M3X6mm screws
    • Torx T10 Screwdriver
    • Recommended Torque: 0.6 N-m / 5.3 lbf-in
  • (4) M4X6mm screws
    • Torx T20 Screwdriver
    • Recommended Torque: 0.9 N-m / 8 lbf-in
ZIML / FS42 Installation
  1. Attach the adapter bracket onto the FS42 using (4) M3x6mm adapter screws S
    A
    . Consider using the box that the light came in to protect the equipment and keep the lens clean during installation. Recommended Torque: 0.6 N-m / 5.3 lbf-in.
  2. Attach the FS42 and the adapter onto the light using (4) M4x6mm screws. Recommended Torque: 0.9 N-m / 8 lbf-in. Ensure that all connectors are oriented in the same direction.
  3. Attach the flanged U-shaped piece (F) of the tilt bracket to the light using (4) M4x6mm screws (S

    ). Recommended Torque: 0.9 N-m / 8 lbf-in.
  4. Set the (2) M4x8mm pivot screws (S
    P
    ) into the flanged piece.
  5. Mount the adjustable U bracket to the frame rail using appropriate hardware based on your industrial environment (S
    R
    ) (not provided).
  6. Hang the camera and light assembly onto the U bracket by sliding the pivot screws into the pivot slots (U
    SLOT
    ).
  7. Adjust the assembly to the desired angle and secure with (2) locking M4x8mm screws (S
    L
    ) and the pivot screw (Sp).
  8. Connect the Y cable to the M12 connectors on the camera and the light.
When using the FS42 with the Zebra Integrated Multifunction Light, use CBL-PWR00500-M1220 (green connector) and ensure you are connecting to the connector marked Power. .
