This section describes connecting the RS5 series scanners to the device. All instructions in this section apply to both the RS5000 and the RS5000x scanners unless specified otherwise.
Remove the connector cap covering the port (1).
Connect the scanner's interface cable (2) to the device's port (1).
If the device is wrist-mounted, connect the cable to the port closest to your wrist.
(RS5000 only) If using the extended cable configuration, route the scanner cable up to the shoulder and down to the hand that the scanner mounts on. Attach two cable clips to your clothing and secure the cable to the cable clip.
Rotate the trigger assembly to the correct position for the hand that the imager mounts to.
Slide the scanner onto your index finger with the scan trigger next to your thumb.
Tighten the finger strap.
