Scanning with the RS5000/RS5000x Corded Imager

Use the RS5000/RS5000x Corded Imager to capture barcode data.

To read a barcode, a scan-enabled app is required. The device contains the DataWedge app that allows the user to enable the scanner to decode barcode data and display the barcode content.
Imager decoding usually occurs instantaneously. The RS5000 repeats the steps required to take a digital picture (image) of a poor or difficult bar code as long as the scan button remains pressed.
To scan with the RS5000:
  1. Connect the RS5000/RS5000x to the device.
  2. Press the scan trigger and aim the RS5000/RS5000s at a bar code.
  3. Ensure the barcode is within the area formed by the aiming pattern. The aiming dot is used for increased visibility in bright lighting conditions.
