Adding a Printer via Network

This procedure describes adding a network printer to the Zebra Print app via Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
  1. Open the Zebra Print app on your Android device, and tap to find a printer.
  2. Tap
    Wi-Fi and Ethernet Network
    .
    A dialog box asks you to ensure your device and printer are on the same network. After verifying this, tap
    Dismiss
    .
  3. To search for the printer:
    • Tap
      Search Printers
      .
      The app searches for printers, and then displays a list of available printers. Tap the printer to continue.
      If the
      No printers found
      screen displays, tap
      Search Again
      to retry the search.
    • Alternatively, tap
      Enter IP or DNS Address
      , enter the IP or DNS address, and tap
      Connect printer
      .
  4. Zebra Print connects to the printer and retrieves printer settings. See Printer Settings. Review the printer settings and tap
    Finish
    .
    If the
    Printer settings invalid
    screen displays, note the invalid setting(s) and tap
    Exit
    . Use another application to change the setting(s) and add the printer again.
    If the connection is lost or the printer is not found, a screen similar to the following displays. Tap
    Try again
    .
When successful, Zebra Print adds the selected printer to the
Printers
screen.
