The FN1 substitution feature supports keyboard wedge and USB HID keyboard hosts. When enabled, this feature replaces any FN1 character (0x1b) in an EAN128 barcode with a specific value. By default, the substitution value is 7013 <CR><LF> (Enter key).

To configure the FN1 substitution value using host commands:

Set the Key Category Parameter to 1.

Define the 3-digit keystroke value.

See the ASCII Character Sets for the current host interface for the desired value.
