The scan module connects to a host device via either a USB or RS-232 cable. The cable powers the device and provides communication functionality between the scan module and host device.
USB host connection:
The scanner defaults to the HID keyboard interface type. To select other USB interface types, scan the programming barcode menus or use the Windows-based programming tool 123Scan.
For international keyboard support, use Country Codes to program the keyboard interface with a USB host.
TTL-level RS-232 host connection:
The scanner defaults to the standard RS-232 interface type. To modify communication between the scanner and the host, scan the barcode menus or use the Windows-based programming tool 123Scan.
