Initiating an Emergency Call

Emergency calls can be initiated by an onscreen button or a physical button, depending on the application and device configuration.
  1. Press and hold
    EMERGENCY CALL
     to initiate an emergency call.
    EMERGENCY CALL
     specifies how long to press and hold to initiate an emergency call.
    The EMERGENCY CALL button appears in the top banner of the app.
    The emergency call is routed to all members of the emergency group.
  2. Press and hold
    Push To Talk
     to speak to the group.
    The
    Emergency Call Active
     notification specifies how long to press and hold
    CANCEL
     to cancel or end the emergency call.

  3. Call recipients can press and hold
    Push To Talk
     to respond to the emergency call.

  4. To acknowledge the emergency call, touch the menu (Menu icon) and select
    Acknowledge Emergency Call
    .
    The Acknowledge Emergency Call option is available from the ellipsis menu in the top-right corner of the screen.
  5. To end the call, press and hold
    Cancel
     on the
    Emergency Call Active
     notification and then touch
    Leave Call
    .
    Recipients of an emergency call cannot leave until the initiator cancels the call.
