Installing an EAS Tag

An Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) tag can be installed on the device to help prevent the device from being lost or stolen.

Using a Phillips (PH00) screwdriver, loosen the captive screw that secures the battery cover.

Rotate the battery cover up, and remove it from the handle.

Insert one side of the EAS tag into the rubber boot with the orange capacitor facing up in the opening.

Press down on the other end of the tag to seat it into the rubber boot.

Install the rubber boot into the device handle in the orientation shown, with the opening and the orange capacitor facing the handle.

Insert the tabs on the battery cover into the handle, and then push the bottom of the battery cover down.

Using a Phillips (PH00) screwdriver, tighten the screw that secures the battery cover to the device.

To remove the rubber boot from the cover, use pliers to pull up on the rib in the top center of the boot.
