Shelf Mode

Devices left in storage for extended periods of time should be put in Shelf Mode to preserve the battery and prevent it from becoming completely depleted. A device in shelf mode will maintain a functional battery level for up to a year.
Shelf Mode is the lowest power consumption mode available on the device. It is designed to preserve the device's battery health when the device is not in active use. This mode is particularly useful for devices that are stored for an extended period of time. The conditions for storing a device in Shelf Mode are:
  • The device's battery level is between 30 — 60%.
The recommended battery state of charge (SOC) is the optimal range to guarantee battery life in Shelf Mode at room temperature.
  • The storage temperature is < 40°C.
