A SIM card holds your network subscriber identity, which allows you to connect to your cellular network. Contact your cellular network provider for information.
Use a long, thin Torx T8 screwdriver with a minimum length of 38 mm (1.5 in.) and a maximum diameter of 4.6 mm (3/16 in.) to remove and replace the screws on the device.
Follow proper electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions to avoid damaging the microSD card. Proper ESD precautions include, but are not limited to, working on an ESD mat and ensuring that the operator is properly grounded.
Power off the device.
Remove the battery
Use the screwdriver to remove the two screws from inside the battery slot.
Turn the device over so that the keypad is visible.
Use the screwdriver to remove the two keypad assembly screws from the top of the keypad.
Lift the keypad from the device to expose the SIM card holder.
Slide the SIM card holder door to the unlock position.
Lift the SIM card holder door.
Place the SIM card into the card holder with contacts facing down.
Close the SIM card holder door.
Slide the SIM card holder door to the lock position.
Align the keypad along the bottom ridge of the device, and then lay it flat.
Use the screwdriver to secure the keypad to the device using the two screws. Torque screws to 5.8 kgf-cm (5.0 lbf-in).
Turn the device over.
Use the screwdriver to replace the two screws inside the battery slot and torque to 5.8 kgf-cm (5.0 lbf-in).
