Network Management Settings Migration

When a device operating system is upgraded, settings from older network management tools are automatically migrated to the new framework.
During an upgrade, older Auto Service Selection settings are migrated to the new Auto Data Switch framework as follows:
  • The On/Off setting and the Preferred SIM are directly mapped.
  • Because the old feature did not use signal thresholds, the upgrade sets them to default values (-110 dBm low, -105 dBm high).
  • The delay timer defaults to 30 seconds.
Additionally, WAN-WLAN Interworking settings are migrated using the following logic:
  • The WAN Preferred option is automatically set based on the old priority list. If a cellular network was listed first, WAN Preferred is enabled.
  • The upgrade carries over existing signal strength thresholds and refresh intervals. If none were set, the settings revert to defaults (for example, -67 dBm for Wi-Fi, -75 dBm for WAN, 30-second refresh).
