What to Do If You Forget to Install Printer Drivers First
If you plug in your Zebra printer before installing the drivers, the printer displays as an Unspecified device.
Follow the instructions in
Installing the Drivers
to download and install the drivers.
From the
Windows
menu, open the
Control Panel
.
Click
Devices and Printers
.
In this example, the ZTC ZT320-203dpi ZPL is an incorrectly installed Zebra printer.
Right-click on the device, and select
Properties
.
The properties for the device display.
Click the
Hardware
tab.
Select the Zebra printer in the
Device Functions
list, and then click
Properties
.
The properties display.
Click Change settings and then click the Driver tab.
Click
Update Driver
.
Click
Browse my computer for driver software
.
Click
Browse
... and navigate to the
Downloads
folder.
Click
OK
to select the folder.
Click
Next
.
The device is updated with the correct drivers.
