Use the terminal reboot tool to place the device in Recovery Mode when you upgrade the device's software.
Insert the Terminal Reboot Tool into the Power Connector.
Press and hold the Scan key for 10 seconds until the display powers off.
Hold the Scan key and Terminal Reboot Tool for one to three seconds.
Release the Scan key.
The device enters into Recovery Mode.
