Configure the following printer settings. Contact your network administrator for the proper values for your network.
Check the Ethernet connector on the back of the printer. If no light is on or blinking, the Ethernet connection is not active. Check that both ends of the cord are plugged in correctly and that the network port that you are plugging into is active. When this issue is resolved, the printer should connect automatically. If necessary, configure the following printer settings to set a static IP address and then reset the network. Contact your network administrator for the proper values for your network.
Network Settings > IP Protocol > Wired IP Protocol—Change the value from ALL to PERMANENT. Network Settings > Gateway > Wired Gateway—Match the gateway value of your LAN. Network Settings > Subnet Mask > Wired Subnet Mask—Match the subnet value of your LAN. Network Settings > IP address > Wired IP Address—Assign a unique IP address to the printer.
