Support of WFC Voice for Third-Party Devices

In the WFC Voice ecosystem, the PVM and EXM assign licenses to devices as requested. The role of PVM and EXM in voice licensing is described in the WFC Voice Client Licensing section of the PVM Customer Administration Guide. The licenses are registered against the device ID. For Zebra devices, this is the device serial number. For Third-Party Devices, the device ID is constructed as described in the Third-Party Device IDs and includes the Android ID. As previously mentioned, the Android ID is non-permanent. When the device is factory reset, a new Android ID, and therefore a new device ID is generated. Any license registered under the previous device ID is orphaned and is not associated with any currently active device.
The following mechanisms exist to ensure that licenses are not tied to Inactive device IDs indefinitely.
