Installing the Light onto an FS80

Install the adapter bracket onto the scanner, then install the scanner and the adapter onto the light using the screws supplied with the light.
Installation may require two people to hold the light while attaching it to the mounting bracket. Consider wearing gloves during the installation process to keep the lens clean.
If your device has a C-mount lens, install the lens and leave the cover off until after the light accessory is installed.
Required equipment:
    • Torx T20 Screwdriver
    • Recommended Torque: 1.3 Nm / 11.5 lbf-in.
    • Recommended Torque: 2.2 Nm / 19.5 lbf-in.

  1. Attach the FS80 adapter bracket plate (A

    ) onto the light using (4) M4x6mm screws (S

    ). Recommended Torque: 1.3 Nm / 11.5 lbf-in.
  2. Attach the FS80 using (4) M4x6mm screws (S
    A80
    ). Confirm that all connectors are facing the same direction as the light connector. Recommended Torque: 1.3 Nm / 11.5 lbf-in.
  3. Attach the flanged Omega-shaped piece (F) of the tilt bracket to the light using (4) M4x6mm screws (S
    F
    ). Recommended Torque: 1.3 Nm / 11.5 lbf-in.
  4. Mount the U-shaped bracket to the frame rail using appropriate hardware based on your industrial environment using the appropriate hardware (not provided).
  5. Hang the scanner and light assembly onto the U bracket by sliding the pivot screws into the pivot slots (U

    ).Adjust the assembly to the desired angle and secure it with (4) locking M4x8mm screws (S

    ) and the pivot screw (S
    p
    ). Recommended Torque: 2.2 Nm / 19.5 lbf-in.
  6. Connect the Y cable to the M12 connectors on the scanner and the light.
If the scanner has a C-Mount lens, adjust the lens's focus and install the lens cover.
