Replacing the MicroSD Card

Follow proper electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions to avoid damaging the SIM card. Proper ESD precautions include, but are not limited to, working on an ESD mat and ensuring the operator is properly grounded.
Do not put any labels, asset tags, engravings, stickers, or other objects in the battery well. Doing so may compromise the intended performance of the device or accessories. Performance levels such as sealing (Ingress Protection (IP)), impact performance (drop and tumble), functionality, or temperature resistance could be affected.
  1. Press the Power button until the menu appears.
  2. Touch

  4. If a hand strap is attached, remove it.
  5. Press the two battery latches down.
    Do not attempt to insert fingers under the latches when pulling on the battery. Damage to the latches may occur.
  6. While pressing the latches down, press the two latches in toward the center of the device. The latches must be pressed in completely to release the battery.
  7. Lift the battery from the device.
  8. Remove the access cover.

  9. Slide the SIM card holder to the unlock position.
  10. Slide the microSD card holder to the Open position.
  11. Lift the microSD card holder door.
  12. Remove the old microSD card from the holder.
  13. Insert the new microSD card into the card holder, ensuring that the card slides into the holding tabs on each side of the door.
  14. Close the microSD card holder door.
  15. Slide the microSD card holder door to the Lock position.
  16. The access cover must be replaced and securely seated to ensure proper device sealing.
  17. Reinstall the access cover.

  18. Insert the battery, bottom first, into the battery compartment in the back of the device.
  19. Press the battery down until it snaps into place.
  20. Replace the hand strap, if required.
  21. Press and hold the Power button to turn on the device.
