Creating an Incoming Webhook

The
Incoming Webhooks
view allows you to add and delete incoming webhooks and associate them with ZEMS elements. Incoming webhooks can target users, groups, sites, or regions.
  1. Click
    Add
    Add an incoming webhook to open the
    Add Incoming Webhook
    dialog.
    Import messages from an external application though an incoming webhook.
  2. Enter a name in the
    Name
    field for the incoming webhook.
  3. Select
    Base Webhook
    to optionally create an incoming webhook that accepts URL parameters.
    When selected, the
    Target Type
    must be a Site or Region.
  4. Select the target type from the
    Target Type
    drop-down menu.
    • USER
    • GROUP
    • SITE
    • REGION
  5. Select the target from the
    Target
      drop-down menu. The target type filters the list of available targets.
  6. Click
    Add
    .
    The URL is automatically generated and cannot be changed.
  7. Locate the new webhook in the list of incoming webhooks and click Clipboard icon to copy URL to system clipboard to copy the URL.
    This URL is used in the outgoing webhook of the external application.
Example
In this example, the target for an incoming webhook is the ACME region shown in the
Region/Sites
view.
Verify the incoming webhook has the correct target.
