PTT Pro for Android
Broadcast Message Example

In this example, the user manages both the East and West regions. This user can send a broadcast message to all regions, one region (East or West), or one or more child regions (for example, District 24 and District 13, which are child regions of the East region).
When a manager composes a broadcast message, the top-level regions display.

A manager can expand the regions to see the child regions and sites.

Broadcast Message Expiry

You can set an expiry date for the broadcast message. The message is removed from the system after a refresh or re-login after the message expiration.
  • When the toggle is off, the Expiry value is set to 0, meaning the message has no expiration date.
  • When the toggle is on, the Expiry value is set to 1 by default, meaning the message expires in one day, and you can increment it to up to 30.
  • After sending the message, check the remaining time from the
    Sent
tab. For example, if the expiry is set to 5 days, 4 day(s) 23 hour(s) will be the remaining time.
Checking a Broadcast Massage
PTT Pro for Android and Zebra WS50 Android Wearable Computer retain broadcast messages until they expire, enabling you to check messages even if you were offline when they were sent.
