Adding an IWG Endpoint

When you add an IWG endpoint, the recipient, a PTT Pro user or PTT Pro group, must exist in the
PTT Pro Server
and synced to ZEMS.
Before adding an IWG endpoint:
  • Review the IWG overview and configuration example in Interworking Gateway.
  • Ensure that the site you want to add the endpoint to already exists in
    PTT Pro Server
    and has been synced to ZEMS. The sync may take up to 24 hours.
  • If the target type is a group, ensure that the group already exists in
    PTT Pro Server
    and has been synced to ZEMS. The sync may take up to 24 hours.
  1. Click
    Add
    (Toolbar icon for adding an endpoint.).
    Add an IWG endpoint to send text message or audio messages to users or groups.
  2. Click the
    Site
    drop-down menu and select a site.
    The site specifies where the endpoint is created. The site must exist in the
    PTT Pro Server
    and synced to ZEMS.
  3. Enter the name of the proxy user in the
    PTT Pro Server
    in the
    Proxy
    field.
    The PTT Pro proxy user name corresponds to the User Login field in the
    Workcloud Communication PTT Pro Management Portal
    . The proxy name must be between three and 25 characters and can include letters, numbers, and periods (.). An example naming convention might be
    SiteName
    .
    GroupName
    .
    Proxy
    .
    If the proxy user does not exist in the PTT Pro server, it is created.
  4. Select USER or GROUP from the
    Target Type
    drop-down menu.
  5. Select the user or group from the
    Target
    drop-down menu.
    The user or group must already exist in the
    PTT Pro Server
    and synced to ZEMS. If the user or group was recently added to the
    PTT Pro
    , wait 24 hours to ensure it syncs to the ZEMS server.
